Statement of Purpose

For many children and parents, the beginning of Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, or Kindergarten is a time of great hope – and a little anxiety. Early Childhood Education is an experience during which children learn what it means to "go to school". They learn social skills, taking turns, and working and playing cooperatively with fellow students. Here at Cozy Pine, we want a child's early experience in school to be full of activity, imagination, and wonder. Every day should be a great day!

Cozy Pine offers a wide range of learning opportunities such as: Language Development, Fine Motor Skills, Sensorial Exploration, Practical Life, Large Group Time, Art Exploration, Science Discovery, Geography Awareness, Teacher Time, Language, Writing, Math, and Journals. Cozy Pine also provides a Dramatic Play Area, Painting Area, Free Choice Tubs, and an AMAZING outdoor playground for exercise and gross motor skills.

Cozy Pine also offers a unique workbook program as well as Spanish, Yoga, and for the oldest children, Health and Nutrition. Our Preschool age children incorporate much music and movement into their school day.

All children should enter school "ready to learn" as a Kindergarten student or First Grade student. The teachers and assistants at Cozy Pine make every attempt to give substance and meaning to this goal. Our purpose is that your child will enjoy our program, love coming to school, and have a great start on the path to a lifetime of learning.
